You may know me as @freeyoursoulfit from Twitter/Instagram. For whatever reason you've found yourself here, thank you!
My name is Kelly, and I am a Registered & Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist currently living and working in the DMV. I am a graduate of Pennsylvania State University (2017), where I obtained my Bachelor's of Science in Dietetics and double minored in Kinesiology and Psychological Sciences. After graduation, I went on to pursue my Dietetic Internship in Columbus, OH, where I completed 1250 hours of supervised practice through The Ohio State University's Human Nutrition Program.
Throughout my years working as a dietitian, I've obtained a myriad of experiences as a fitness and nutrition professional in a multitude of settings. As I have worked as a personal trainer, nutrition educator/counselor, as well as clinical dietitian, I am experienced in working with clients who require weight, cardio, and corrective training exercise recommendations; weight management counseling; performance nutrition counseling; pregnancy and post-partum nutrition counseling; and Medical Nutrition Therapy for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Heart Disease, Kidney Disease, and much more. I have my own fair share of personal experience as well, competing in NPC bikini bodybuilding and USA Powerlifting competitions, and I currently spend my free time coaching & attending F45 classes in Arlington, Virginia.
Throughout my years as a dietitian, I've learned to recognize the unnecessary pressure placed on eating perfectly & looking thin in our current society. Thus, my nutrition philosophy has shifted, and I encourage all of my clients to question their motives for changing their nutrition habits. In this space, all foods fit, and body types are not one size fits all. My goal is to help you recover from the negative mental and physical effects of dieting, and provide you with the tools to live your most healthful life while still enjoying the foods you love, stress & guilt free. Are you ready to break free?
